Are You Being Asked to Sign a Transmission Easement?

If a utility company is planning a power line through your property, don’t sign anything until you’ve spoken with an expert who’s been on both sides of the deal.

Who’s Behind EasementHelp.com?

My name is John McNair. I’m a licensed Texas real estate broker with over 18 years of experience helping landowners protect their land value.

Before founding Leverage Realty Consulting Group, I developed more than 3 gigawatts of solar, wind, and battery storage projects across ERCOT. I understand how utilities like AEP structure their easement budgets — and what’s often missing from their initial offers.

I’ve also served as an intervenor in multiple transmission line CCN (Certificate of Convenience and Necessity) cases before the Texas Public Utility Commission, dating back to the 345kV CREZ rollout in the late 2000s.

Today, I work exclusively with landowners — offering strategic guidance, market insight, and easement negotiation support to help them navigate utility takings and secure stronger outcomes.
